Our staff are the backbone of what we do at The Russell Hill Retirement Residence. They support our residents in many ways: serving in the Dining Room, providing Room Service for meals, Housekeeping, Nursing and Personal Assistance, Activities and Outings, and not to forget the busy Concierges who man the Front Desk taking calls, make dining reservations, drives, or put a request into the maintenance binder. Whew!
So, every summer, the Managers host a Staff Appreciation Barbecue, to the delight of our residents. That took place this past Monday when we decorated in a Hawaiian theme, gathered lots of prizes, provided massages and henna designs, and played some games. Food – it was delicious! Chef made fantastic ribs, chicken wings, shrimp skewers and all kinds of fresh salads and corn on the cob. It was a feast that was well deserved.
